Job Opportunities for Teachers of German

Demand for teachers of German is low at present, and teaching posts are only open to those with formal training in teaching German as a foreign language or several years’ teaching experience. Positions require that you have a New Zealand residency permit or a suitable work visa. Job opportunities come up from time to time at the Goethe-Institut and at local language schools, rarely at the universities.
